What is EFT ?
Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is a simple, body-based method used to help calm stress and emotional overwhelm. It combines elements of modern psychology with gentle tapping on specific acupressure points on the face and upper body.
While focusing on a stressful thought, feeling, or physical discomfort, a person lightly taps these points with their fingertips. This process sends calming signals to the brain, reducing the bodies fight or flight response, helping the body shift from a state of tension into a more relaxed, regulated state.
Many people use EFT to reduce anxiety, stress, emotional triggers, and even some physical discomfort that may be connected to stress. By pairing mindful awareness of a challenge with rhythmic tapping, EFT can help “turn down the volume” of the body’s stress response.
Over time, people often report feeling more emotionally balanced, resilient, and able to respond to life’s challenges with greater ease. Because it is gentle and easy to learn, EFT can also become a self-care tool that individuals use between sessions to support their ongoing well-being.
